The Academy is set over 2 floors with a large, bright, state-of-the-art make up studio and a fantastic dining and 'chill out' room situated on the top floor. Our studio has 6 individual work stations with mirrors, surrounding daylight tube lighting and professional chairs.
To ensure that you get the most from your time with us we have endless resources at your disposal including large flat screen TV, computer, books, DVD's and magazines which can accessed at any time if you need inspiration. We do not take more than 6 students on our courses ensuring that you get the maximum amount of time and attention you need.
The academy is a media make up school based in Cheshire, providing top quality training in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All our tutors are highly skilled and experienced makeup artists working in the TV, film and photographic industry. Our students will finish our courses confident and competent to pursue their career as a freelance makeup artist and whether you are a complete beginner or already a makeup artist, we have the courses and expertise to suit your requirements. During your time with us we will encourage you to discover your own method of working and have the confidence to work out of your comfort zone to create beautiful and inspiring work.
All classes are kept small (max 6 students) to enable you to receive the time and attention you need to get the most from your course and you will be working with top makeup products from brands such as MAC, Illamasqua, Bobbi Brown and Shu Uemura.

Richard has been a makeup artist and hair stylist for 10 years and was inspired to enter the industry at a young age after he inherited his Mum's Avon kit! On completing his formal training in Liverpool, Richard began working in the advertising and fashion industry and has gone on to work on projects for clients such as Hugo Boss, Wella, Volkswagen, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks.
Richard's work has featured in national newspapers, weekly and monthly magazines and has also created fantastic red carpet looks for the BAFTA's.
When asked what inspires him Richard says "I just love the thought of being part of a creative team, making beautiful pictures that will last forever".
Joining us from New York is Make-up Artist, Hair Stylist, and Wigs Mistress, Diana. With over ten years of experience working in film, television, fashion, and theatre, Diana is pleased to be joining us in Manchester to spread the Make-Up gospel!
Having worked on Music Videos with artists such as Mary J. Blige, Gwen Stefani, The Killers, The Strokes, and The Kings of Leon, Diana received her first break in Los Angeles when she was invited to visit Sharon Stone on a film set. She has since worked on films "Rocky Balboa" and "Sweeney Todd".
Jetting from New York to Los Angeles introduced Diana to celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Penelope Cruz, Kim Cattrall, Janice Dickinson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Nicole Ritchie, Naomi Campbell, Heidi Klum, and Michelle Rodriquez
Moving to London provided Diana with work in the West End in Musical Theatre, on shows Hairspray! Cats, and Cabaret as well as work with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Diana's work has been featured in Make-up Artist Magazine, the Sephora catalogue, Saks Fifth Avenue, Vogue, Marie Claire, as well as the Independent Newspaper and the Times. She has worked on several advertisement campaigns for companies such as Coca Cola, Ben Nye, and The Gap.
